My grandfather used to say that if you saw two nuns walking together it was going to rain.  So, no, I don't think it's an apocalyptic sight.

What happened to those blokes that used to walk around town centre high streets wearing "The End is Nigh" sandwich boards?

I always thought that was cool.

The end must have overtaken them...or they got run over crossing the road with the sandwich boards hampering their movements...:o

More likely to be a harbinger of the apocalypse than my failed predictions of an HPC over the past 8 years...

I am sure that picture is full of hidden symbolism only waiting to be unpicked

I mean one nun is knitting, one is holding bag of green vegetables, one is drinking coffee, one seems to be looking at a computer tablet,

Surely these are Sabian symbols or metaphors for the Seven Churches in the Book of Revelation

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_churches_of_Asia

No doubt Dan Brown or David Icke will be along in a minute to tell me what it all means

On edit - Rather prosaically I gather there were eight of them out that day but one was not on the platform when the photo was taken

The well known 'end is nigh' sandwich board man who used to walk around Oxford Circus died a few years ago I believe.

I think you just don't get that many apocalyptic Christians about nowadays, part of the overall decline in British Christianity.

Without wanting to get too 'Daily Mail', I suspect also their presence would not be welcomed by certain persons of a different religious persuasion.

Strictly speaking Apocalypse means in Greek any uncovering or disclosure of hidden truth not Armageddon.

Apparently, the nuns were from a Carmelite closed order that spends most of its time praying for the salvation of the world.

A triumph of hope over experience if ever there was one.

Well the world hasn't ended, so the empirical evidence is that it is working.

the signs are there,if you know how to look for them:

and I beheld a rider on a white horse, who's rider was bent on conquest(in latin it says "everywhere").This is ROMAN CATHOLICISM.nearly all members of this organisation also happen to be knights/SMO Malta.

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSu1lz-8PKKg9nJhb9iw97

and I beheld another horse,a fiery red one,and to it was given the power to take peace from the earth, and a large sword was given to it(provoking life threatening revolutions/civil unrest )

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSXOgk6LD_Bq0Z_0TGHoVy

the black one is a bit harder to find, but this will do.A measure of wheat for a penny?images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRU5EN5fnqUeic2iBjk9-o

the banks control inflation/deflation and we're looking at severe hyperinflation in agriculture/food at some stage....these guys will be trying to profit from food scarcity/distribution

..and then finally(in the greek it is chloros(green) rather than KJV grizzled and bayimages?q=tbn:ANd9GcRYvwkGSD52WB7Q0rfp2Mo

now as david icke puts it, there are two sets of "opposames" here.

corporatism(banking) V socialism, and catholicism V islam...would make sense for rome and the corporate heads to temporarily team up to get rid of the other two...and that would give you "the woman riding the beast"

no doubt rome is mystery babylon, the colours match.

now if we are very, very lucky, then the book of daniel comes into play for us a few years down the line, and four beasts emerge, different from one another.

1)anglo america..NAU..the lion with eagles wings, but without the eagle, withdraws from international diplomacy somewhat.run by the stuarts?

2)northern europe(4 governships under franco-german jurisdiction)..run by the hapsburgs(yes the EU 2.0 WILL LEAVE THE UN TOO)

3)new northern russia, rather more assertive on the world stage, under a new peter the great,or a newly found romanov. They will also withdraw from UN.

4)everybody else..the group you really,really don't want to be in.The new UN....consolidated into 10 districts.
