Has postie gone postal?

Recommended Posts

As per title

armed gunman attempts carjacking.  Stopped by brave passers by and bin men. The interesting bit is:

Officers are also at the Dairycoates Inn, at the corner of Hawthorn Avenue and Hessle Road, in Hull, where a Royal Mail vehicle has been abandoned.

The force has not confirmed a link between the two incidents.

BBC reporter James Piekos said: "The van is backed up right to the door of the pub with one door open. It's is partially sticking out in to the road.

'Attempts' carjacking?

How can you fail if you have a gun. The occupant either gets out or you shoot them. If they try to drive off, you shoot them and push the body out of the car. How can you fail?

What's wrong with Dick, King?

I think you posted in the wrong thread, should this not be in the Corinthian helmet thread?  ;)

My mistake.  Seems postie was one of the ones carjacked.

in mitigation, I blame poor reporting from al Beeb.

A bit bit of googling and it seems that the perpetrator is a fine, upstanding pillar of the community.

Leon Ndenu was arrested for theft of money from an elderly lady’s purse. Ndenu is a prolific offender in the area, so positive action was taken straight away to prevent him from committing further offences. Ndenu has been sent to prison for 4 months, has to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and has to pay the money back.
