Parliamentary Committee Warns Brown

Recommended Posts

If the miracle economy based on ever increasing house prices is becoming unglued lets have the truth rather than a fabrication of lies, smoke and mirrors.

LONDON (Reuters) - The government should review its fiscal rules and allow greater independent scrutiny to ensure fiscal policy is credible and sustainable for the future, an influential body said on Wednesday.
The House of Commons Treasury Committee called for the review after Chancellor Gordon Brown changed the start and end date of the economic cycle, making it easier for him to meet his rules
Some independent analysts accuse Brown of allowing a black hole to develop in the government's accounts that would eventually require huge tax rises.
