Turned Out Nice Again

'Seconds'

John Frankenheimer's 'Seconds' (1966), one of the most genuinely creepy movies I ever saw and probably Rock Hudson's best acting work, is now available in full on YouTube.

Its plot resonates with me personally as divorce looms at 58 and I contemplate taking similar steps to the movie's protagonist with similar feelings of optimism and also trepidation:

Scared the sh*t out of the Beach Boys Brian Wilson if the wiki article on the film is to be believed.

Interesting about Wilson's reaction and that the film is basically a re-telling of Faust.

Warning for others: the plot synopsis in the above link contains major spoilers.

Frankenheimer was a great film maker.

The Manchurian Candidate and Seven Days in May should be on Donald Trumps viewing list if he has got any sense.

I saw his film Grand Prix in the cinema as a kid. Miles more gripping than watching modern Formula 1

The dodgy sound (echos) and video (dark around edges) is the way you get around the Youtube automatic copyright detection system.  You'd probably be better off just downloading it from another source if you really want to see it.
