House On The Market For 1 Year Without A Single Viewing

Recommended Posts

I know someone who has had their house on the market now for over a year. It's priced at the average price for that area, close to a major City and there is nothing dodgy about it. (i.e. no views of a nuclear power station and it's not chav central).

They haven't had one enquiry or one viewing at all in over a year! The price has been reduced too in the past.

I don't want to give info about the location etc, incase they read this forum. They might punch me :-)

Does anyone else have any similar stories???

DEATH a friend of mine who I will see this weekend has had his house on the market for 6 months and as far as I am aware no viewings. He doesn't want to reduce the price as otherwise they wouldn't be able to get a large enough mortgage to buy the bigger house they need (more children on the way). This is the East Midlands where HPI has been rampant.

My mum's partner has had his house on the market for over a year with only three viewings. He's dropped the price £5k and refuses to go any further.
