There is zero chance of politicians solving these issues as what needs to be done would never be popular.  The next 10 years will be interesting to say the least.

Debt, demographics, job destruction via technology etc. Good luck trying to fix that!

Heard the bit with Polly Toynbee saying there needs to be more inheritance taxes.

This of course is crap.  The other respondent got it right when she said the fundamental problem was property inflation and the lack of affordable housing to the majority of the population.

If that could be solved the wealth inequality problem would take care of itself.

Absolutely.  No hiding place for anyone with that list. Not a NIMBY left unaffected.

I agree 100% - we need more housing and that would help.  Polly Toynbee is perfect proof that nepotism gets poor quality staff (she dropped out of Oxford and without any journalism experience got a job at the Observer - her Uncle's paper).
