A quarter century of pay rises

Recommended Posts

I'm always moaning to the missus how I hardly seem to be paid more now than when I started work. Well I found my tax return for 1992 - 5 years after graduating. The figures are not pounds btw

1992: 33,305

2017: 40,000

Oh I now have "senior" on my business card.... oh hang on, they don't give business cards anymore!

Of my 2017 salary, the government takes a much bigger share.

What do you do? Graduated on 17k, went up to 22k after passing training + probation, in the mid 60k range now, 15 ( i think) years later.
