nome
..... Who would rather stamp their feet, throw a tantrum and remove their property from the market because they're ''not going to bloody give it away'' Even though in this case the vendor earns enough money that he literally could give it away and it would probably only take him 2-3 months to save up enough money to buy another one just like it... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4066140/180-000-week-Man-City-ace-Raheem-Sterling-forced-1-2million-mansion-complete-Michael-Jackson-tribute-room-market-failing-buyer-year.html

999house
Get you a two bed flat in Battersea. Not bad house. Why he wants to sell it, Ive no idea. Hes on about 10m a year basic. With bonuses and signing on fee it will be 12.5 to 15m a year.
Digsby
'kin hell, that's like taking an 8 year old Ford Fiesta off the market because the best offer is £100 less than you paid for it 2 years ago.

Since then the same kind of decline that's afflicting all North West coastal towns has set in. It's not Blackpool level grim but not as good as it was. The only reasonable commute is Liverpool or Preston. Getting to Manchester and back every day won't be pleasant.

But he believes 'you can't lose with property'. He can't allow its value to decrease or he'd have been an idiot for buying it in the first place, he's trying to save face and ultimately chasing the market down. EnglishinWales
He may as well give it away. He could donate it to a charity to use for their headquarters. Might make a good childrens' home. Surely the karma is worth more than the money. Season of goodwill and all that... Edited December 26, 2016 by EnglishinWales
nome
Isn't it bizarre... Sterling has the reputation for being one of the most extravagant party boys in the Premier League.... he's no doubt squandered hundreds of thousands of pounds on a jet-set hedonistic playboy lifestyle....and yet when it comes to property even he adopts the usual attitude of ''I'm not going to give it away'' In probably just the last 12 months alone I'd wager he's spent more on clothes, bling and partying than the amount he would need to reduce it by to achieve a sale
reddog
I think his main mistake was to buy a gaff on the wrong side of the pool. Can't see too many people with businesses / work in Liverpool, Blackburn, Bolton, Preston etc. wanting to shell out that sort of cash. He should have bought in Cheshire footballer land, easily commutable for Liverpool and Manchester.
