Airbnb for your atic - rent it out innit

When his girlfriend dumped him, Anthony Paine needed to store his stuff somewhere fast.

As he shut the door of their flat for the final time, the irony struck him that there must be lots of people with space to spare nearby, if only he could connect with them.

Poor Anthony, the beta males will inherit the Earth one day.

What next, rent out your garden?

Rent out your shed?

I have been storing 10,000 VHS tapes for 15 years in the self storage for £100s of pounds/year. I can't let them go! :P

Atic - £20 PCM

Garden - £20 PCM

Sofa - £100 PCM

Space under stairs - £25 PCM

Car boot - £10 PCM

Corner of room - £10 PCM

Space under bed - £10 PCM

That's £195 PCM ker ching!

Wow all these new income streams, that's boosted yields - and will "boost" house prices <_<

I could rent out my car boot space, as it is half empty mostly - just email me when you want an appointment for access.

"Earlier this month, we reported on news that trials are taking place to assess the viability of using the boot of a car as a secure, alternative parcel drop off point. Is this a ground-breaking approach to easing the last-mile bottleneck? Or is it an example of next-big-thing hype? "

I've got an outside lavatory in the garden - full working order, vintage Goliath cistern with original chain. Bronco paper in place..

Any potential here? How would I market it?

“The kernel of this idea is using an asset you’ve already got – like the boot of your car. You can see it with Air BnB, with people renting out their driveways.

“Yes, the technology has to be available but telematics data already exists. Also the technology to allow the courier to open and close the boot of your car. The technology used by the driver will need to be really good though, to enable in-flight changes. But this already happens with traffic data. You’re just including an extra data point – your car.

“Things like insurance problems are easy to fix. Insurers are used to dealing with new problems – something like Uber is probably creating more headaches.”

What a complete load of sh1te...that said you only need to look at the pictures to realise there was nothing less to expect.

I'll help you start a VHS tape bubble.

Some of those tapes are a collector's dream. They must be worth a fortune.

Nice one, tip of the trade, entice em in on below market teaser rents, then once they're in start charging them for use of the ladder, if they don't like it they can buy their own ladder innit.

Market it as a working museum/toilet?

Add a velvet lampshade and a hanging birdcage with some manga inside. Market it to hipsters as an instagramming opportunity.

Space under the bed sounds nice. Is it ok if I wear my hockey mask? I like to go to bed in my hockey mask. Failing that space under stairs will do. Car boot looks interesting too I have a friend I need to take to the woods, he is very quiet. If that's not available the garden looks a good deal, I like digging holes at night, just a hobby really.

I'm thinking of a per rung basis.

Seem fair?
