60% of Tory MPs have BTLs right?

Recommended Posts

So what, they've been given ample opportunity to cash out in an orderly manner, which they will, this will not stop the market crashing.

Besides, I doubt many of them have mortgages.

We have a winner.

Lots of these MPs will be doing old school property investment. You put money down and get coupon, not Mad Gainz Property118 style BTL where you leverage, and leverage and leverage, ending up with a portfolio "worth" £4m secured in £3m worth of debt and so precariously financed with respect to your latent gains that a minor fall in prices will leave you without the equity you need to pay the CGT you will owe on disposal, and thus unable to exit without bankrupting yourself.

Yes, MPs have some property wealth.

Are they moar-rooned? Are they b0llocks.

The MPs have left that unenviable predicament to the "core-voter" property whizz-kids over at Poverty Later (all twelve of them, plus Busta).

118ers were hoping Andrea Leasdom to be the next PM because she is LL. When Hammond became chancellor they were upbeat about his interest in property.

Even they were praying to get a Landlord judge to hear their Judicial review.

Is it a duelling with the Canary day?

I think you'll find a lot of MPs, both Cons + Lab + Lib, etc, have more than 1 house.

A lot have places in London that they share with fellow MPs.

Do many MPs have more than1 house? Probably.

Does it affect/influence whats happening? Nah.
