"Let's fund our NHS instead"

Strictly speaking that means Let us fund our NHS instead - which implies a suggestion and it also implies a request for permission if in a position to do so.  So it's subject to agreement, a vote on the issue.  It's similar to Why not fund our NHS instead

As for the figures there's controversy over the accounting and auditing of the eu so until that's all sorted out can any side be that sure of the actual exact amounts involved and who is right.  Whatever the exact figures are it's fair to say that the sums involved are huge.

Oh, the 55m a day is just the entrance fee to the club. You haven't even got to the bar yet and bought a drink.

Maybe the CPS can also tell us how we'll be £4,200 pa worse off . . . as stated by Remain.

Yes. I myself am better off since the vote. The stock market recovered from the short-term shock very nicely. The UK is predicted to grow at a faster rate than the EU nations. There's been no recession or emergency budget. All of the Remoaner's lies have been exposed.

It doesn't.  We have a rebate deducted at source.  It doesn't make any sense to pretend that this money will become available after leaving the EU since we already have it.

Where does "let's fund our NHS instead" suggest how much of the EU money should be spent on the NHS?

Fair enough - I concede that one.

But some points here:-

  • the UK's contribution to the EU changes every year, and of course, it's going up each year (generally, notwithstanding the odd exception).  It's gone up 33% since 2008, and we all know that our GDP has not risen that quickly in that time (by my calculations. 7.4% GDP growth between 2008 to 2015) - so it's costing us more and more in real terms.  It will very likely be more than the £350M gross in 2 to 3 years' time when we eventually leave the EU
  • the rebate isn't set in stone either.  It's getting less and less as a proportion of the overall gross total - see graph here > http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-35943216, and there's no guarantee it won't be abandoned
  • Again...."let's".....what part of "let's" makes it a promise, not a suggestion? Do you accept that? Do you not recall the fuss after the EU referendum result from remainers saying "they couldn't promise it anyway!" - well, duh....it wasn't a promise.
