UK mortgage lenders face compensation bill for mishandling arrears

 

LONDON Britain's mortgage lenders face compensation claims from hundreds of thousands of customers for incorrectly handling payment arrears, the country's financial regulator said on Wednesday.

 

Yet more compo to boost the economy?

No doubt the state funded bankers will be paid from state funds.

There wil be no prosections, well 1 perhaps.

Ripped off by the banks, ripper of by government , ripper of by government ,on behalf of the banks.

This is insane !!!

Woohoo - more money for those who took on gobs of debt!

 

To be paid out from state owned banks by ripping off the taxpayer and screwing over depositors, I'm sure.  Debt really does pay.

Here we go. Debt forgiveness for 750,000. Bankster prosecutions 0.

Jonathan Davidson, the FCA's director of supervision, warned enforcement action could be taken to deal with any unfair behaviour by firms.

"Customers do not have to take any action at this stage, as firms will contact them directly."

PPI was just the opening salvo. Here's where we really get screwed over.
