Barratt's Boss Banged Up,

Recommended Posts

There is potentially more of this sort of thing to come. Normally it shows up when there is a slow down.

In my opinion the entire construction and building sector is corrupt. As a lot of these businesses are UK owned they often avoid a lot of the Sarbanes-Oxley regulations that any one working for a firm with US interests will know about.

Even at the low level, there is a lot entertainment that takes place that would be considered bribery.

The other interface that needs to be looked at is kick backs to the public sector; so for instance planning officials changing recommendations based on influence from outside for example or joining a firm after leaving their public sector role.

Does SO include setting up a charity foundation and going on a lecture tour?

Point about the noughty stuff coming out of the woodwork is a good one. One factor in good times more money sloshing about to bury any financial inconsistencies and everybody working off their feet too much to notice things.

Arrested and taken to the cells? So he's stuck in a characterless, draughty, whitewashed box without the space to swing a cat.

Just like his customers.

Funny.  I tweeted that one
