For anyone who thinks this is good news I am reminded of turkeys voting from Christmas

I've of the opinion now that our house price problems have arisen largely from a Britsh sense of selfishness.

I just want to watch it burn now.

It might not be good news for the economy as a whole but it could be good news for London house prices.

Over the longer term it's good news as it allows the economy to have greater redundancy and be less reliant on a limited variety of industries

In the medium term, well, change can be rocky

Well it is the economy, stupid

(not calling you stupid Bruce)

"They" built the economy around a housing bubble, "we" had to use the Brexit referendum to get rid of "them", the resulting fallout was inevitable.

Rock and a hard place. There have been no good options for quite a while.

This. We (as in the general, not specific) produce nothing and spend our time flipping home, opening nail bars and being paid to walk other peoples' dogs. The bubble has to burst at some point.

Anyhoo, have we not heard this particular 'threat' before? Normally when the banks are after something

Oh yes, here we go

Trying to influence the brexit vote.

Adding to the chorus of 'let it burn'. We should record a tune saying such to that song from Frozen. HPC fight club anthem.

Anyone who thinks otherwise has stockholm syndrome imho. Getting rid of the parasitic financial sector would be joyous.

Banks are shrinking.

They fcked up, massively. Dead niw, utilities.

Technology and capital ratios will finish them. They are not going to employ many people, or have thape state backjng their leverage. Tough t1ts, really.

Has all the bail out money been paid back yet? I am sure they will want to leave with a clean slate.

Of course not. Didn't you realise that this was a gift from the kind tax payers?
