My Landlord Can't Cover Rent

Recommended Posts

Big landlord with multiple houses, sounds like close to full occupancy in South London. Complaining of being fined by the bank because he can't cover the rent when we pay late.

Basically means he's short of cash so much he can't cover the 5% or so of tenants that late pay on an average month.

He has also stopped the cleaner coming to save money.

Do you mean he can't cover the mortgage when you pay late?

lol relying on someone else to pay their mortgage. I suppose the banks can't be lenient with them otherwise inches given may becomes miles, and the contract is between them and the landlord, not them and the renter.

he just needs to put the rent up.

is what he said if we are unhappy about the cleaner being cancelled

But he he can't really because we are already paying top dollar for the area and there is stuff alot cheaper.

Tell him he could always sell one of his properties then he might have some spare cash to help his cash flow situation........or maybe he knows he will be hit with a massive CGT bill if he sells :D
