Quaint Derbyshire Villages

Hi

http://212.50.188.105/cgi-win/vebra.cgi?de...5/HIGHL/22726/1

I actually fancied this when it first sold in Summer 04.

It was a total wreck and was on at 270k from memory.

It sold for 390k eeeek.

(High Lees Cottage Sheffield Road, S32 1DA)

This shows the coplete fever to buy anything at that time.

Even wrecks were going for waaaaay above asking it an instant.

It was refurbed, very nicely, by a pro outfit.

It took about a year.

They then put it on at 550 last autumn.

It is now under offer following a haircut to 495.

100k 'profit' for a years work?

I reckon the refurb would have cost almost that.

Im chuffed that the bloody get rich quick mentality is fading round here.

When N Sea Oil finally runs out and oil goes for $100 a barrel guess what natural resource will start to look attractive again?

Right! Long range investment in property in your area might be a good bet. My guess is that the crash will happen dunring 2005-2009 making sometime in 2008 a good time to invest.
