150 Jobs Could Be Lost At Caterpillar Factory Following A Downturn

Recommended Posts

Just down the road from me, they do seem to have these phases of redundancies every few years. I was surprised they are closing a plant in Belgium . Lets see what happens at JCB because what Caterpillar do one day they follow shortly after. Anyone local affected shouldn't have too much trouble getting work if they are not too fussy,Amazon are opening a huge site that needs 500 workers

I was more trying to see what people thought of this in terms of the global and UK economic outlook, does a slowdown at the likes caterpillar/jcb provide a good indicator of the how world economies are heading? Does news like this precede or lag economic slowdowns?

But I guess all these UK building projects that have suddenly be scrapped is having an effect!?
