Bbc News Is Obsessed

I've just turned on the TV, straight into the middle of yet another housing market feature on BBC News, that's three days on the trot!

"Prices still rising across the country"

More ramping from Kate Faulkner .

Edit: After typing the above the two main presenters commented to each other that everyone they meet is talking about how much their houses have gone up / are worth. They agreed it is a national obsession..... I wonder why .

Yep, same at work. That's the topic of discussion de jour.

The funny thing is not one of these people are looking at what they've been gifted and actually considering what that could mean for them if they decided to cash in their chips at UK PLC's casino right about now.

They remain moribund, lifeless salary men who prefer to talk about the illusory 400k they have for 15 minutes in the kitchen and spending the next 15 hours a day working on something that doesn't feed their soul.

If I were cynical I'd say it was a concerted propaganda message pumped out by a government hell bent on getting house prices higher and further out of the reach of the poor. IMHO

These people are disgusting self serving, banker serving individuals IMHO, I cannot bring myself to watch the BBC now.

I've poked her with a couple of tweets:

@katefaulkner Great news that the NW say house prices are still ion the up. So will BBC will be heavily campaigning for BoE to raise rates?

@katefaulkner ..as they obviously acted too soon and need to dampen the 10% YoY inflation on top of already #MegaBubble prices

@katefaulkner No doubt the publicly funded BBC will be fighting the corner of the public, collapse cant be far off

I'll let you know when she replies :D:D:D:D:D

They don't want the poor affording to buy houses, when their corporate mates have spent all those £ billions on bubble priced dev land & factories, to make & rent them prefab lego slave pods.

Off-Site Construction Key To Unlocking Housing Crisis - 85 Yrs Too Late

http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/226444-off-site-construction-key-to-unlocking-housing-crisis-85-yrs-too-late/

..L&G’s £55m, 500,000-sq-ft site, due to open later this month near Leeds, is fully computerised and automated, and can produce 3,000 homes a year for its build-to-rent schemes. The factory does not require the same level of skill as Elements. “It is much more akin to the manufacture of cars on a production line,” says James Lidgate, head of housing at L&G....

Well, the jury's still out on Theresa May........ crooked, like her predecessors, or not.

Married to a banker/financier who works for one of the most secretive finance companies in the world.

No children to worry about.

She is running an elected government, with a 35% majority!!!, who is ignoring BrExit ( IMHO ) and who's party is funded by house builders.

If I were a betting man, I know which way I suspect she'll go.

So what's your advice, give up and buy a house?

If the current government don't effect article 50 then I'll vote ukip

If they do, but at the same time they enact more hpi policies then I'll vote for corbyn who, whilst being a mad incompetent socialist, has at least recognised the housing crisis for what it is.

Yeah man, worrying about the actual price of something is so 1900s....

Maybe her extraordinarily outdated measure of affordability suddenly won't seem to out of date if interest rates ever threaten rise to sensible levels.

There's something in the tone of her answer that makes me feel deeply uncomfortable. It really feels like there is an agenda.

Fair play to her for replying and fighting her corner.

it seems it's all about mortgages....i.e. banker debt.

Forget about money.savings, we all need to get with the plan.

@HousePriceMania Just to repeat, no-one is saying its hunky dory. Prices are going up, down and staying the same.

Another 'it's all about the monthly payments' rate tart. And never was that last word more appropriate.
