Smeagle
What does BMV stand for? What on earth is Schaudenfraude (if that is even spelt correctly)?

RJG18
BMV = "Below Market Value", buying a property (or anything) below what the market currently values it at.
zzg113
Schadenfreude is a German word meaning joy(freude) in someone else's pain(schaden). An example of this would be laughing when someone else walks into a lampost.

Its a shame so many people are going to suffer, and they're people we all know as well family and friends, I know plenty who have bought in the last 12 months and stand to be in an awful position in the not so distant future. Just as a significant few doing well makes every positive about the market, a significant few in real financial trouble will push people the other way.
