Black Lives Matter Comes To The Uk

Recommended Posts

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36982748

We're importing the worst of America yet again...

This is what happens when people live their lives on Twitter. I'm sure that it's enabling a new type of cultural imperialism. People follow Americans and get caught up in the causes they're promoting even if they've got very little relevance outside the US.

There only seemed to be 10 or 20 people at each blockade. The police could have nipped this in the bud in 5 minutes.

They should remember that the 2011 riots quickly got out of hand due to hands off policing.

You would be furious if you missed a flight because of that lot.

If you have half hour spare, this Sargon video has a few laughs.

I say we should pay them off with land, money and benefits for say 50 years. Then they can go their own way. Certain racial groups will never rub along.

I read the Police had to get specialist cutting equipment due to the 'protesters' arms being linked. However if you look at the pictures - the ones at the end are not linked to anything ?! And there are only 5 of them ? Why didn't a group of Police just drag the ******* out the way ?

That's what would happen if a group of drunk idiots decided to do this. Why are the rules different if its a 'protest' ? Surely the Law doesn't differentiate ?

Not really.

Just drawing attention to how the tram users of Nottingham are systematically oppressing the black people of America and in fact everywhere else. themselves.

It's totally irrelevant to Britain. We don't have a recent history of slavery. Our black people are descended from British Empire citizens, who were invited here to man the buses, not to be segregated into seats at the back. Although some received a less than warm welcome.

I don't think any of the black people I know feel opressed, but then they are rather posh and don't hang around in hoodies, selling illegal drugs, and trying to talk like a rapper.

Following on from CCC's point, The host on 5 Live breakfast this morning had a right bit of racial stereotyping of Irish people and it was just laughed off.

Why are black, Muslim and LGBTI so feckin precious?

If white males had protested like that they'd have been straight down the nick.

Prejudice against the Irish was no joke some years back either. It's still OK to laugh at the uncouthness of Australians though, and how backward the North is.

They should have waited until tomorrow in Nottingham, might have made some new friends.

The council has decided to temporarily close Nottingham's beach while an English Defence League demonstration takes place nearby.

The far-right group plans to launch a demonstration and are heading for the city centre summer attraction on Saturday. The demo will finish at Speakers' Corner, near the Brian Clough statue.

That's what I thought, but ...

Black Lives Matter movement 'needed in UK'

I expect the Guardian will be all over it tomorrow.

Within any minority, there is a minority who want to feel opressed, when they are not, just to feel special.

As one rather disabled person I know, once said to me "I hate the f8ggin 'disabled', as they are always moaning".

See Monty Python sketch quoted earlier.

I have noticed Cameron and May talk about the injustice that blacks suffer in the UK. It's almost like they want to stir something up.

I watched some 2 hour video about the illuminati from 1967 and it predicted everything that is happening, especially so in the US and the divisions being created are intentional so they can control society more.

The worse things become the more people will want Government.

I am pretty sure we will all be running a curfew app on our phones soon that track and trace us, giving us permission on where we can go and when. Street cameras will use facial recognition software to make sure it's you using the phone or the drone will come for you!

It's like Griffindor, and Slytherin all over again. Thankfully no more Harry Potter films should be made, although I did enjoy them.

It is very wrong to advocate killing and injuring people, they are protesting peacefully and do not deserve to be run over and injured.

Apologies. I let my work angst take over. Very wrong. But I'd be murderous if if missed a £600 flight because of them.

Could injure the ones with arms linked inside thos tube coverings, then cries of Police brutality, and huge compo claims etc.

Incidentally the climate mob who did the same on heathrows runway a while back all got taken to court and prosecuted and were lucky to escape jail, the cost of the disruption ran into millions.

Same as todays protest probably.

Also a white fathers4justice bloke hanging off a gantry bridge on the M62 was in court this week and got sentenced to 2yrs for the cost of the disruption and inconvienence to the public his 6hr protest caused

Be aware there is a peaceful vigil to mark the anniversary of the Mark Duggan death this week.

(this was the spark for the London riots a few years back)

Following the near riot in Hyde Park a couple of weeks ago, there is tension in the air.

It is getting hot out there....

It shows how the news is being censored; I haven't seen any of these unarmed black men being shot and killed on a daily basis by the British police forces whilst in the US they're all being freely reported upon. There must be some big D notice up on them.
