She's gone from hero to just another establishment member in the space of a few weeks. I'm embarrassed to say I used to look up to her.

Did you look up her skirt when you retrieved her dropped pencil?

She's been rewarded for white washing the recent Inquiry into antisemitism. She actually turned it around to find instances of Moooslims being discriminated against. Corbyn is hypocrite either way.

worked close to her and her lot a while back. typical cognitive dissonance lefty.

if you want to annoy a right winger, tell them a lie. You want to annoy a socialist, tell them a truth.

she was firmly in the socialist camp on that one.

Yeah, but according to the main forum, Corbyn is going to crash the housing market and build 500,000 news homes so all good and he's the poster boy of the HPC massive and he's gonna be an awesome leader

In the early 2000s I was a serious Anti- ID card protestor; and turned up with her in her capacity at the time as the leader of Liberty to a protest in Parliament Square. I don't think I actually spoke to her but she seemed very nice, and principled. I was a bit thrown by the bumfluff sporting students who turned up in their "support the intifada" T-Shirts, but didn't say anything.

My mum is a bit of a lefty but quit her job teaching in a sink state school in favour of a private school down the road when I was 9, where I and my brothers got a brilliant education thanks to her 2/3rds staff discount. I went on to flunk university and end up working as a bus driver, but I'm glad that I went to a good school almost every day; because you learn useful stuff. If I was well off and had kids* I wouldn't go for Eton but I would cough for a decent private school, as I'd like my kids to have the opportunities I had, and spunked!

So my objection to Chakraborti is not that she wants to do well by her kids- it's that she got involved with the travesty that is the Leveson Inquiry. I'm utterly mystified by it, but what's done is done, and she can never be taken seriously again.

*I'm not that well off and my wife will be 42 in November, so while I live in hope...

Eton has a good sport reputation.

I think it was on the playing fields of Eton that a boy first picked up a football and ran with it, thus inventing the sport of Etony.

For the uneducated, Etony is an etonym.

Good for her. People should be able to send their kids wherever they want for education.

I hate the hypocritical twats like Diane Flabbott who do it when they tell everyone else its wrong.

Has she ever spoken out against them?

Personally it's he idea she can afford £30k a year (?) as a minor politician that bothers me..

Well exactly. I think you can campaign for civil liberties, human rights and a more equal society without believing that state education is a prerequisite. Unless she has made public statements decrying private schooling, I don't see any hypocrisy. Even if she openly supports a party that promotes universal state schooling, it's still fair to assume she doesn't personally support every single policy. Abbott is different as she expressly advocates for universal state education.

Diane Abbot on SKY just now defending 'Shammie' to the hilt about her getting a seat in the Lords. She's "one of the most distinguished people in public life", and criticising her sends out a bad 'message' to other BME females who want to get stuck into the public money trough serve the country.

Left wing firebrands and SJW's Di and 'Shammie' do see eye to eye on getting their kids into the best schools too...

Can't stand Flabbot, but I'd expect her to earn significantly more if she devoted all her time to being a full-time barrister rather than a part-time one.

Not after the Briggs report, they are all going to be doley's soon, replaced by computas, innit.

I would assume the reason her kid was there taking an exam was in order to get a scholarship.

You have to sit the exam just to get in (unless you are royalty) so we can't assume that.

Just checked Eton is £37k p.a.

Does that include bullying?

Does that include bullying?

In Michael Palin's "ripping yarns" TV series. The public school had an official school bully who was allowed to keep Filipino girls in his dormitory.
