It's very nice, but I think my $1500 Lexus has life in it yet.

But could you see Terry Thomas driving it?

More of an MGC man I think!

But the reason I like the Bullet is that it actually looks British. A bit eccentric, but definitely British.

Hmm, I always liked the 407.

Whatever happened to the wonderful Bristol motor cars. I used to drool looking through their showroom window

I believe they did once have a shop in West London.

You mean, breaks down two or three times a week? Or is this some revisionist Britishness?

Now I like this! This is the way the UK needs to go, more tailored manufacturing, rather than mass production.

disagree.

we do world class bespoke stuff incredibly well.

we come a cropper with doing half decent mass production...last time we did anything quality in that league was the spitfire.

We've been naff at mass car production since the days of leyland....yet we can do a bloody good job with nissan etc.

basically down to bad indigenous management

I think you misread my comment - think we agree.

A DB3S in School for Scoundrels. Which Ian Carmichael then pranged for him!

Now I'll have to buy the film.

The Ariel factory's in north Somerset near Bristol. I had a couple of Atoms blast by me on the M5 last year (the only time I've seen one and I saw two) in that locale; so they were either testing or delivering. Mad but fun cars.

Was that the showroom at the corner of High Street Ken and Holland Road?
