Retail Spending

Link above to Dixons having a far better Christmas that forecast 2% increase. Interestingly the internet spend went up 47% (yes that is correct).

Look out for a press release on Friday from IMRG stating online retail in 2005 hit £20Bn representing 9% of all retail spend. In 1999 it was £300m.

I've said it before and I'll say it again there is no consumer slowdown, the money is being spent elsewhere.

Did practically all my Christmas shopping online.

Also just bought Rush: R30 DVD online - why pay £27.99 in a shop when I get it for £17.97 online

including the concert on double CD too
