What happens is the company just does a Press Release in an article style using terms like "the Halifax have seen" rather than "we have seen", then news agencies just print them verbatum. It boils down to the fact that the only people doing these Press Releases are people with a vested interest. If there were real money to be made in bad news and falling prices we would see that also.
