Dames :D

Er.... its 'value' she cant sell her flat .'. the value is too high and is totally subjective, it would be more interesting if the person who won was the person who got closest the the average value guessed ;p

I bedroom flat, er 30->60k?

she paid 98k for it in 2000

two similar properties in this block on rightmove both at £159,950

Not another of these damn pseudo lotteries. Just like all the others there won't be enough participants, so £2.50 stake to gamble on winning £1.25 pro-rata.

The bookies offer better odds. Mind you the word "house" is involved so that will stir up the some fools into participating.

Loads of laughs in that one!

But if the competition does not receive enough entries, the winner will receive only half the money generated. Ms Topley would then have to put the flat back on the market at a lower price and hope for a quick sale.

In that event, I guess she keeps the other half!

'The flat would be ideal for a first-time buyer or someone trying to move into London and would be a really good investment for the winner.'

It sure would for £2.50.

FYI.... Looks like the spread between the best and the worst flats is increasing, she needs 30k deposit, and paid 98 for it (the blue dot just below 100k on the graph), shouldnt be to hard if she just sells it for 130k

her partner, a 34-year-old multimedia producer,

CD Pirateer then

'We are hoping to raise enough money from the competition to enable me to pay off the rest of the mortgage on the flat, the stamp duty and legal fees, and have still have enough left over for a deposit on the new house.'

hope you haven't MEW'd too much then..

It is described as an 'immensely desirable property'

So she a radiographer and he's some sort of website designer????? Both fairly averagely paid occupations.

Yet they aspire to a 'dream property' which is 275k.

Live within your means, kids - a flat ain't a cash machine.

What if another flat in the same block comes on the market? It'd kinda give it away wouldn't it?

This is total Bolax! It's just a scam to get half the money from the draw. I hope no one is stupid enough to enter.
