Crash - How Long Until This Happens?

Recommended Posts

I'm a bit frantic at the moment. I can see a crash coming very soon - loads of unsold houses and people taking lower offers. I'm trying to sell my own house - at a small loss [£5k] - but will take less again as it might be worth getting rid of now before the real falls occur. If you looked in the EA's windows though you could be persuaded that prices are going up - but the offices are empty. We are getting a few people round - but only because we are at the cheaper end of the market - but still only one offer - and that would-be-buyer has gone awol. She rents them out by the way! Maybe she's heard a whisper.

Also do you think things are being talked up in the media. Once one of the big papers gets wind of all the low offers I reckon the fall will happen quickly.

What do others think.

Thanks for this Victor, any chance of an on-line link? I know a very keen BMV specialist in L`pool, he`ll pay you 10% less than his market value....

His market value could be very different to the actual market value at present.

He`ll make you an offer there and then, you don`t have to take it. At least you`ve then got the lowest price/bid and you`re in the game with a reality check. Link please. :D

Is spreadbetting still available? It used to be a useful hedge against a property downturn.

PS I hate to mention the awooga word, but in an alternative universe this post might be considered a troll ;-)
