ʎqɐqɹǝʞɐɥs
Its still early days this one http://www.propsmart.com/forum but its by the guy Ron Hornbaker who brought you http://www.bookcrossing.com/ and he is pleading all memebers for help in getting this new venture going: Hello Shakers, First of all, I owe you an apology. I've been largely absent from the BookCrossing community for the last year, and I'm very sorry. I know you've been in good hands thanks to our AMAZING support volunteers, but I can't help feeling like a negligent parent to my BookCrossing baby. The reason for my departure? I've been working on Propsmart (http://www.propsmart.com), BookCrossing's new sister site. While it has nothing to do with books (it's a consumer-focused real estate search engine), we've tried to give it a similar sense of the BC community values and grassroots appeal. Propsmart will benefit BookCrossing by: sharing more (and faster) servers, supporting more developers (which translates to better service and feature upgrades), and finally, allowing us to put less emphasis on buying from the Supply Store to support BC. The bottom line is that BookCrossing is struggling financially and, to ensure the site continues to operate, we’ve had to do something drastic without contaminating it with ads or membership charges. Here are 3 simple ways (without money) you can help BookCrossing via Propsmart: 1. Spread the word about Propsmart.com to anyone you know who is currently shopping for or selling a home. 2. IF YOU HAVE A WEBSITE OR BLOG, please link to Propsmart with a text link like this: If you're buying or selling a home, Propsmart is a real estate search engine that uses Google Maps to display almost 1 million listings nationwide. Or a graphic link like the ones at: http://www.propsmart.com/linktous 3. Interested in buying or selling homes? Post to the Forums at Propsmart (http://www.propsmart.com/forum) and help initiate some conversations. Please know that BookCrossing will always be "my baby" and dear to my heart, but we were forced to diversify to ensure BookCrossing's survival. So I ask you, please lend a hand to help introduce BookCrossing’s little sister to the world. And thank you for your years of continued support. I sincerely appreciate you. Sincerely, Ron Hornbaker Co-founder, BookCrossing.com
