Hpc The Usa Version

Recommended Posts

Yes, Mr Goat, we have seen it. It is comforting to know that there are incredulous sorts all over the globe. One day we may even find a chinese HPC site complaining about the price of flats in Shanghai. its probably in Chinese though.

Anyway getting back to the UK...does anyone know what it was like buying a property in the middle ages?

I don't know if anyone has seen this, if so sorry, site run by an American guy with the same property ownership frustrations as we have, see graphic at bottom of the page.

I go to this site from time to time, but I have found there is a lot of extraneous commentary on the blog these days. The front page is good, though.

Have you tried Ben Jones' blog? It's the best I've seen for a US perspective, and has a very active user base.

Yes, I do.

After the collapse of the money economy of the roman empire all property was in the hands of large landlords. You would have been owned by one of these landlords as a serf, your existance revolving around the produce you had to hand over (Taxes).

In the UK it got particularly grim after 1350 after existance taxes where placed on everyone regardless of thier fitness for labour. Hence the peasents revolt.

Something else to look forward to then.
