David Smith Aka Pete95 Aka Bill Gates -

God Help Us All - A Bull (or PR agency) is launching a desperate counter-attack.

Having seen the BBC News last night - almost laughing at house price growth last year - comparing 16% for stocks/shares and 3% for housing, I'm not suprised that the bulls are concerned! It was GREAT!

LMAO at this thread

So I am now being accused of being a troll for what reasons exactly?

Is it against this forums rules to question the likelyhood of a house price crash, and even dare to suggest that BTL may still be a viable investment?

I certainly consider myself a bear - I want to see a HPC as it would allow me to buy a better property than I currently could, but I am also a realist about house prices and at the moment am I doubting the big falls that I was convinced of will actually occur, at least not in the next 2-5years.

I would find buying now a bitter pill to swallow knowing that the property Im buying has increased in value at probably the fastest rate in history over the previous 8years, and someone will have done very nicel thankyou owning it over that period.

I think theres a lot of bitterness on this site from people whove 'missed the boat' and as I dont own any property myself I guess I fall into that catagory!

It's a conspiracy! They're all out to get HPCers. I think the market is out to get HPCers too.

Why did my girlfriend have milk in her tea this morning. Something's up, she's definitely a bull in disguise!

I love reading this site, but sometimes it's a circus.

No! This forum is starting to descend into some sort of farce. Anyone who disagrees with the crash theory is labelled as a troll and slated.

I can understand why though, the crash hasn't happened and is unlikely to be starting anytime soon. Never mind, eh? Stick to the crash theory despite there being no evidence to support it.

Good call. A forum is a place of discussion & debate. All are welcome & given fair voice.

A controlled forum is a place that serves the purpose of the controllers.

Those that use multiple registrations to back themselves up in arguments are giving themselves an unfair advantage. It is difficult for genuine members to hold a sensible discussion or debate with these alter ego posters, which is why they are classified as trolls and placed in the troll usergroup along with known commercial VI troll posters.

you've hit upon the nub of it there, old chap.

but no-one should pre-suppose that this place was established as an open forum. I'd struggle to think of many internet forums which are.

so please don't get cob-on if people on here start berating you for being provocative and inflammatory

(PS this isn't directed at you TTRTR, in spite of your cheeky name) :)

PPS a bit of a shame but entirely appropriate that 2005 on the forum should end with a flurry of trolling and tussling the kind of which we haven't seen for a good few months. On a personal level, I shall be glad to see 2005 over with - but I remain resolutely optimistic about 2006.

lovely wasn't it.

nothing like a little bit of greed to make the property porn-stars want a bit of the action next year.

do you really think they'll be happy with 3% when they could have 16%???....I don't think so!!

a shock rise in IR's would be just the ticket !!!
