Bill der
Why is there not a property for sale section on this website. I am new to this forum so forgive me if there is. See how many people read this topic, attracted by the idea that it may contain properties. Any ideas? For or Against
oracle
Why is there not a property for sale section on this website. I am new to this forum so forgive me if there is. See how many people read this topic, attracted by the idea that it may contain properties. Any ideas? For or Against  .....I would think most people on here have either sold up already or are waiting to buy,but not at these prices. supply and demand in this case would indicate no demand. ...still,if you want a good laff then keep an eye on the singing pig/ C4 sites for their property for sale bit over the next couple of years....they will be piling up on there as the stampede for the exit gathers momentum. Bill der
Are there any rules against posting properties for sale? If not you could post a free advert to help sell your property. Readers could give constructive criticism about the price and location. Maybe even make an offer. Would be an eye opener for all trying to sell houses at sky high prices. A word to the Moderators / Admin - How many views for this subject in such a short amount of time. Makes you think ! Sometime ago, a young economist saw the plight of first time buyers and thought he would try to help them. This website was born from that idea. To accomplish this, he spent his own money. I am not sure he has changed his ideals. But don't you think starting a property for sale section at this time would exactly be playing in to bulls hands? May be it is an idea once the price crash becomes obvious.

Watch this space The fact that the majority of members and guests on this site are FTBs, it would be very popular for Builders, Developers, and Estate Agents to post so called private properties for sale on this site especially if the adverts were free, saves the cost of all that press advertising and Rightmove`s web advertising fees. That would surely be a boost for their flagging profits. How many views for this subject in such a short amount of time. Makes you think ! It most certainly does. Bill der
My Username may be Bill der, but I am strictly small scale renovation. I completed my first property renovation only a few weeks ago and have let it out on AST. I am in the process of begging for a mortgage on a derilict property. Apologies if my username gives the wrong impression. Perhaps I should change it to Reno Vator
beerhunter
Greenpeace doesn't advertise spark plugs... Amnesty doesn't advertise handcuffs... Should HPC advertise houses? Probably not... but if it did (in the same way as the bullish posts), I'd expect there would be comments about the property/ies which would drive any advertisers/posters off. Bill der
I think that would be half the fun. Watching someone post an overpriced property and getting verbally ripped to shreds. Hundreds of comments already on this site about overpriced properties Only realistic or undervalued properties would make it. The vendors would get feedback which they do not get from EAs Will leave this subject alone for a while now to see what feedback it produces
beerhunter
I think that would be half the fun. Watching someone post an overpriced property and getting verbally ripped to shreds. The problem, is they (ie an EA / builder / whatever) may post once, get ripped to shreds and think its not worth the hassle and never post anything else... in other words the "entertainment" provided dies very quickly. Hundreds of comments already on this site about overpriced properties Only realistic or undervalued properties would make it. The vendors would get feedback which they do not get from EAs "Feedback to the vendors": this IS an interesting idea, but I can't see a mechanism that HPC can provide, other than the current process... which isn't visible to the vendors but is visible to those FTB'ers that have found this site.
