Interesting applications but I can see nothing in either that is dependent on Blockchain as in both cases it would be possible to utilise a trusted central database.

If you want an example of a case where Blockchains decentralised architecture and ability to provide complete user anonymity (in theory if not fact) is a key user requirement.

I don't care what it's called - no deal, crashing out, hard Brexit. It's all the same disaster. And Leave.eu promised us 'a deal'. So no deal.

As for Davos - more gesture politics. I'll start to believe the Tories once they do something about foreigners buying companies and properties here and making the mega-crops pay their fair share of tax.

Once this shit stops.

October 31: Nicky Morgan rules £100,000 given to Jennifer Arcuri's company is 'appropriate.'

December 16: Given peerage

???????

And this

Rocking the kashbah with the status quo.

Oh, wait a mo, I'm forgetting Remainers have their own way of counting votes.

?

Has Labour been in power in the last decade? Nope.

ALL of this is on the Evil party. I cant wait for the chickens to come home to roost.

In the North East in car manufacturing? Voted Tory to "get brexit done"?

Good f***ing luck. You are going to need it.

Well, speaking as a former habitual criminal, drug user and supplier and all round shyster** I often wonder about Nigel as well. There's something about *knowing* you're a shyster that's comforting, its to wear the internal sh1t eating grin on your face but not worry when you look in the mirror. I'm sure later in life he'll be able to stand in his dressing room and continue with the comforting feeling from an heroic knighthood, if only to salve those moments of the dark night of the soul. A happy man.

My prediction is that in 10 years he will be as toxic as a Dow chemical plant. No one will want to be associated with him or his idea.

I think it will be very difficult to pin specific consequences on Brexit.  Even things that might seem inextricably linked to it can be blamed on other factors or people.

It's not all bad news.

At least their houses cold-water garrets are going to rocket in price.

The highest annual growth was recorded in the North West, at 2.8 per cent to September this year. Close behind was Yorkshire and the Humber, where prices rose by 2.2 per cent.

The North East has been steady at 2 per cent, where major towns and cities such as Middlesbrough and Newcastle have led the pack, with increases of 7 per cent and 6.7 per cent respectively.

You under estimate BJ's ability to screw things up, look what a wrecking ball he's been to the real one nation Tory's he booted out the party. Remember how we were all spoon fed May as a safe pair of hands when anyone not under the spell of the MSM knew she aways had the anti midas touch, where everything touched often morphed into a turd. BJ has a track record of screwing up and achieving little, I expect that to continue, only at a much greater pace .

All these Blairite opinions on the media recommending that Labour quickly moves to a centrist position, effectively creating another soft Tory party to offer no real change, that the VIs and media will allow to be elected. No thanks, pointless, we've done that with Blair, it was a wasted opertunity. Labour lost a few million votes to the LDs, BP and Greens, that really doesn't require a reformat and bonfire of Labour policies and principles. The media seem to be spending a lot of airtime trying very hard to convince everyone otherwise, step down now, quickly now, change that leader. Hmm, there's really no need to rush is there? Strangely, the media is not really that bothered about the Lib Dem leadership in the same way?

But with the Brexit shit show implemented (or not, ERG infighting, national dissappointment, UK breakup, recession/GFC2, climate change inaction, scandals etc.) and the Corbyn shooting target removed, I'm very confident that Labour's fortunes will return and the political landscape will look a lot different pretty soon.

Good point well made - problem is the party is now ruled by the one member one vote system - Blairites a minority in that caucus

There is a rush to change the leader he is toxic and so are the inner cabal - they will have wasted 6 months by the spring next election campaign will begin say 4 years from that a short 48 months

Corbyn was toxic but so were the policies Corbyn an easy fix - policies not so with a load of not overly successful youngsters voting Members

you gov shows that only just over 50% of young people voted labour in the 18-29 bracket from 30 upwards normal trend to more conservative views - the competition for labour votes will only get stronger in those brackets

Granted only just over 20% Tory but suspect hard core - by the time your in the 40-49 group which isn’t boomer territory 41/35 to the Tories

OK I will - I'll come out. I love Europeans and love them to visit and work here.

Not happening.

Germany is now favourite for finding work. And tourism is going down the plughole too. Not surprising as who would want to come to such a xenophobic destination where work prospects are about to fall off a cliff. Job done.

I don't like TB, but sometimes he does speak cross-party - and this is one of those occasions

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2019-50829352

"Labour "pursued a path of almost comic indecision" over Brexit during the election and "alienated both sides of the debate", Tony Blair has said.

In a speech in London, the ex-PM said he believed the party could have kept much of the vote in traditional Labour areas under a different leadership.

The situation was "made impossible by failure to take a clear position and to stick to it", Mr Blair said.

"The result has brought shame on us. We let our country down," he added."

I have further analysed the election results based on an incomplete data (only 60% England, full Wales and Scotland). With the perfect full tactical voting Cons will likely to have a very small majority, with only Remain side voting tactically it would have been a hung parliament.  What is striking is a practically perfect split between Remain and Leave in England, even with the full data set the difference is 29k (0.1%).

FT - means full tactical (Cons + BP) on one side, Lab/LibDem/SNP/PC/Green on other

RT - only Remain side tactical Lab/LibDem/SNP/PC/Green

L - means Leave

R - means Remain

The first table: Impact of the perfect tactical voting on the number of Cons MPs

The second table: split between Remain and Leave implied by the election results (incomplete data set)

Of course we're all xenophobes that's why we're only number 15 on the most tolerant countries index with all of 8 or so of the EU countries in front of us. There are 19 who are less tolerant than us according to this which means only one thing - the survey is rubbish - a tolerant country cannot leave the EU.

No names, no pack drill, but I just received a call from a private healthcare company I used to use before I retired, wondering if I'd like to rejoin because, amongst other things.... "With this new government we don't even know it the NHS will exist soon".

This cant be true, Boris promised £350million per week extra for the NHS.  Thats why half the population voted for brexit.
