The Masked Tulip

Gunman Running Amok In German Cinema Complex

Recommended Posts

Neither Sky nor the BBC has any live footage from the town yet which is just wenk. They could easily dip into live German news feeds.

Unfortunately events like this rather go against the 'safer in Europe' rhetoric...

Mr Beuth also said: "The police had an emergency call at 2:45pm [12:45 GMT]. The caller said there was a masked man... armed with a long gun. It is unclear whether it was a real gun.

"The caller heard four shots and said that the masked man appeared a little mentally unstable. Police special forces were called."

BBC News reported "at least one shot fired" and "20-50 people injured".

According to the police nobody was injured (except the gunman himself who's dead now).

That's amazing bit of shooting skill and an understatement if ever I saw one.

You would think, before they put it into print, they would query such a statement - and realise one of those two parts of the sentence must be absolutely wrong.

One shot fired? Then hardly likely 20+ will be injured? (or it's an amzing case of ricochet!)

20+ injured? Then many shots must have been fired (giving an indication as to the class of weapon being used)

Not sure which of them it is? Then why just say "Shooting incident at German cinema - details unknown yet"
