Gigantic Purple Slug
Osbourne looks to be between a rock and a hard place to me. Thing is, if Brexit actually happens at least he can kick the problem into someone elses backyard and claim it had nothing to do with him. So on the one hand, if Brexit emergency budgets, financial chaos etc. If no Brexit then what was it, greater spending cuts than any time since the 1930's in order to meet his budget balancing requirements (which probably won't be met anyway) and him going down as a collossal failure in meeting his targets. The interesting thing is going to be the left leaning remainers who currently are supporting Osbourne, who in the space of about 24 hours after the referendum are probably going to go from supporting him to squealing like mad about how inappropriate his cuts are and how evil he is.
