Changing the law so that those who left it too late will get an extra day to register to vote.

Apparently it's the youngsters, who are likely to vote remain, who left it too late.

Ahh was it a law . very shady and a sure sign of desperation ,as already stated on other threads the site was allegedly down for 2 hours yet they have a two day extension, you can almost smell the fear now

How delightfully naive. Do you really think the same decision would have been taken if they thought that it would bring in more exit votes? Dream on.

Exactly there were rules in place stick to them.

Britain really is turning into a banana republic under these 2 cnts.

The assumption that the young will automatically vote for the EU status quo is not borne out by what happened in the Greek referendum on the bailout. In fact the exact opposite was the case in Greece.

But are Greece's young brainwashed en-masse by Marxist universities and taxpayer funded pro EU left wing media.

Too add isn't there something like 50% youth unemployment in Greece.

IIRC the SNP were very keen to get the young to vote in the Scottish referendum, perceiving them as being more likely to vote to leave the UK, and it rather backfired on them.

More people being able to exercise their democratic rights, how awful.

True, but laws are laws. Changing electoral law mid election is the sort of thing banana republics do. Why bother having electoral rules at all if they are just going to be ignored?

The screwing of the young in the UK is, however

1) Much more subtle than state collapse like Greece

2) In all truth not the EU's fault anyway

I favour brexit, mainly because I favour protection of our sovereign democracy.

I think extending the registration deadline was legitimate frankly. If we do get brexit then it needs a legitimate democratic mandate. So the deadline extension is only fair imho.
