England not windy enough, admits wind industry chief

Perhaps they need to put the bloody things in front of our politicians and just ask them to tell us why we should vote for them?

The article says that the land isn't windy enough. There's plenty of the stuff out in the North Sea, which is also helpfully shallow as seas go. Plus no NIMBY eyesore gripes about that.

No matter; solar has plenty of slack to take up, even in this variable island; and you'd think the Severn would be tidally productive?
