Britain Is The Most Corrupt Country On Earth

Recommended Posts

According to mafia whistleblower Roberto Saviano, Britain is the most corrupt country on earth.

“If I asked you what is the most corrupt place on Earth you might tell me well it’s Afghanistan, maybe Greece, Nigeria, the South of Italy and I will tell you it’s the UK,” he said.

“It’s not the bureaucracy, it’s not the police, it’s not the politics but what is corrupt is the financial capital. 90 per cent of the owners of capital in London have their headquarters offshore.

“Jersey and the Cayman’s are the access gates to criminal capital in Europe and the UK is the country that allows it. That is why it is important why it is so crucial for me to be here today and to talk to you because I want to tell you , this is about you, this is about your life, this is about your government.

“Leaving the EU means allowing this to take place. It means allowing the Qatari societies, the Mexican cartels, the Russia Mafia to gain even more power and HSBC has paid £2 billion Euros in fines to the US government, because it confessed that it had laundered money coming from the cartels and the Iranian companies. We have proof, we have evidence.”

America doesn't even come close in the kind of money-laundering he's talking about.

The whole question hinges on definitions of corruption. The kind of corruption he's talking about is financial services to a lot of the world's most dubious characters. Measured by money handled it's huge, but in terms of the harm it does to our lives, it's pretty insignificant compared to a lot of countries.

I think in Blighty, institutional corruption in the judiciary is a much bigger problem.

Large parts of the city launder money.

The number if dodgy 3rd world kleptomaniacs with assets in London is off the scale. They would never step foot in the ,US.

“Leaving the EU means allowing this to take place.

But this happens when the UK has been in the eu for 44 years now - so how is leaving going to make much difference, if it's already the worst in the world. Bearing in mind that the government and the financial sector say they support staying in the eu.

Leaving will help the rest of the economy, the relatively honest part, to compete and will reduce the role of the world's most corrupt and fraudulent financial sector.

Interesting that just before the referendum the telegraph has an article admitting how things are but using it as a justification to stay. One suspects there's an element of panic and their private polls are saying there's overwhelming support for Brexit now and they think their gravy train is on the way out.

Total nonsense. In Britain we know how to deal with corruption - legalise it, institutionalise it, and eventually roll it out to the middle classes as a lifestyle choice.

Exactly what I was thinking!

"Leaving the EU means allowing this to take place". Yet he says it's already taking place, which it is. Anyone else sick to death of EU migrants telling us what's best for us?

I knew unconstrained government backed HPI would finally draw attention to the jewel in our crown .. the off shore tax havens we have no control over (except when we change the entire government) .. They actually serve useful functions as well as providing a place for the top tier of wealth to avoid tax and scrutiny.

Letting dodgy second / third tier dictators hide their wealth in London housing was a serious mistake.

Letting any old have-a-go pay no tax asian new money type buy a flat with a view of St. Pauls nobody will ever live in was the biggest mistake of course.

"Leaving the EU means allowing this to take place."

What worries Remain isn't economic but political. Inside the EU our domestic political classes hide behind the EU, they feel impervious to our opinions.

Though unlikely, if we where outside the EU we could vote to curtail these criminals activities. It is that freedom they are desperate to deny us.

My first thought too.....project fear in operation again. The establishment must be getting desperate if they bring in the mafia to state their case. :)

Note that it's the US government and not the UK government or the eu "government" that fined HSBC - and British people are expected to believe that the level of corruption (Britain already being the world's worst and inside the eu) might differ because of Britain staying in the eu.

It seems that the eu (and of course the UK) has been content to leave things as they are and the US had to step forward and do something - the US financial sector might be nearly as rotten but the authorities do at least do apply some penalties from time to time. That's likely why the US financial sector isn't quite as rotten as the UK's.

+ 1 THATS EXACTLY Whats in for the politicians that support it ,yes our system is corrupt but there is no way on earth it will be sorted out if we stay in the EU

the EU throw a few christians to the lions every now and then (cheaper roaming charges and the like) to appease the masses ,in the hope it will divert their gaze from what they are really signing up for

Britain is to finance as Saudia Arabia is to religion.

Torys funded by house builders.

Torys introduce tax payer funded HTB scheme.

Britain is not corrupt...it's rotten to the core.

I am aware of this, but would love to see the list of builder donors (probably through subsidiaries so not so obvious). HTB actually defies logic; it is particularly abhorrent for the so-called free-market Tories. Thus corruption?

Considering all that Osborne ey all said to get elected before 2010 election...one would have to conclude this is a possibility!!!!

...being in clearly encourages this corruption ...being out will crunch it ...Boris is already on the job ...one would ask why Cameron, Osborne, Blair and Brown allowed all this....
