Asda used to sell 4 pints for £1 years ago (and probably £1.25 longer ago) then they dropped to 90p - it's widely publicised that supermarkets put immense pressure on dairy farmers, they barely turn a profit.4 pints of milk for £1 is ******ing cheap. A dairy farmer I know (medium sized farm) bought each of his 3 daughters a detached new build a couple of years back, cash purchases. Dairy farmers barely turn a profit? Don't believe the hype. So on that basis, the big supermarkets pay all dairy farmers fairly and don't drive them into the ground? the ones that had to close down or do something else might disagree.
