interestrateripoff
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-36294200 Odds on fees to increase to buy that expensive qualification which will mean even less.
zugzwang
Is it about extending aspiration, or extending the debt ponzi? The model the Treasury is seeking to emulate would appear to be the US.

cashinmattress
"Making it easier for high-quality challenger institutions to start offering their own degrees will help drive up teaching quality, boost the economy and extend aspiration and life chances for students from all backgrounds," Oh yeah? A three or four year 'training' programme does not a degree make. You'll not convince me that anybody outside of a traditional vocation needs a degree. Wonder what it will cost for an 'Alan Sugar University' degree in 'Sucking corporate boaby"? Edited May 17, 2016 by cashinmattress

Bloo Loo
I imagine that letter could be fake because the 2003 date is misaligned with the text edge and the angle of the paper, plus its 100% clear.

LiveinHope
What disappointed me most about the article in the paper was the constant referral to 'teaching'
billybong
Old letter from that fùÇktàrd Osbourne At least there was always the LibDem party - for sure one day they would be coming to save the day against the blatant crooked liars - especially on tuition fees. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTLR8R9JXz4 Edited May 18, 2016 by billybong
stormymonday_2011
It appears the aim of the UK government and many British seats of learning is to provide the worst possible education at the highest possible cost rather than the opposite which one might rationally assume would be the goal Become a life long debt slave and get a small piece of paper from an 'accredited institution' in return. And you cant even chuck your mortar board in the air when you get it http://www.itv.com/news/anglia/2016-05-18/uea-scraps-throwing-of-graduation-mortarboards-over-health-and-safety-fears/ Graduation ceremonies are a complete rip off anyway. Better to end your student days down the pub. http://www.theguardian.com/education/2013/aug/09/should-universities-charge-for-graduation Edited May 18, 2016 by stormymonday_2011
