A Promise Vs A Challenge

Recommended Posts

I made a promise but have now been offered a challenge. To win the challenge I may have to break the promise. What is the morality behind such a dilemma?

This is like when the unstoppable force meets the immovable object!

Er, what's the dilemma?

You gave your word so you keep it. That means you either don't take up the challenge, or you lose the challenge. If your word good, you have no dilemma.

I might just exempt my promise from the challenge I think that will suffice!

Did you promise to accept the challenge to deny taking up any challenges?

(plus what justthisbloke and Hail the Tripod said)

Are the promise and the challenge from / for the same person ?

Am I close? (Could be mother)

The principle is similar!
