Abbey Crunch Biscuits recipe as given to me by my big sister Helen.
Makes 36 low-guilt biscuits or 24 cookie sized greedy biscuits

5oz Butter or Marg (I use ALDI cheap-seats butter - only 10p more than Stork marg and makes baking taste loads better)
5oz Sugar (I use whatever's to hand - normally granulated)
1 tablespoon Milk
1 teaspoon Bicarb of Soda
1 teaspoon Golden Syrup
5oz SR Flour
4oz Rolled Oats (I use jumbo organic rolled oats from Holland and Barrett - I think that they are Mornflakes)
Cream butter and sugar
Mix in milk, soda and syrup
Stir in flour and oats and mix well
Roll into small balls and put on greased baking tray
Cook for 25 mins on gas 2 till golden
Cool on wire rack

Add ginger

Been going cold turkey without those tasty ginger biscuits ...

Anyone else missing their 'fix' of anything?

A few years back both Lidl and Aldi stopped stocking black pudding within a few weeks of each other (having not found it in one I went to the other).

Then after a few months they both had it back. Relief.

This not only suggests that they have the same supplier but that when that one hit problems they both changed to the same, new, supplier.
