Tens Of Thousands Of London Homes Deemed 'long-Term Vacant'

Recommended Posts

Some of the comments saying that you should be able to do what you like with what you own. Others saying to take the empty properties away from the owners. One person came up with the right answer, a LVT would sort this out.

The people who own these properties aren't worried by a housing shortage.

In fact they prey for it because their investments go up in value more. Lolz to that man.

can't agree more RTID.

all the more reason for council tax to be levied on the OWNER, not the occupier.

Well said RTID. Local councils are missing a trick here and could keep council taxes for the rest of us lower if they doubled or even tripled council tax on properties empty for say 6 months + . Is there some law which says they can't?
