Housebuilder Warns On Profits

Recommended Posts

McCarthy & Stone, the retirement homes builder, on Monday warned of another "testing" year ahead, telling investors at the annual meeting that buyers appeared reluctant to purchase new homes.

Keith Lovelock, executive chairman, said the resulting squeeze on profitability would be "particularly evident in the results for the half-year".

...but it is a start

WoW! And that target market are the upper end of the baby-boomer generations, the asset-rich trade-downers. Even they realise that the legoland, plaster-board, "executive" retirement developments of today are rubbish. They even get 30% price reductions of the government as pensioners on new builds and they still think its crap.
