Guest eight
I don't get it. What have I done? Nothing. I was grateful that you replied regarding the heaters - everybody else had gone off at a tangent, as usual!

SNACR
No, it's not normal. But it is a fairly common error when people think they ought to use 'I' instead of "me". It's almost an inverse snobbery type of error. It's very simple. Of me, to me, from me. He could have written "Mrs JTB and I are pretty typical." #grammarnazisrus I always find a reliable indication of a suitably expensive private education is whether someone uses the word 'disinterested' correctly or if they think it just means uninterested. I remember a Question Time, a good few years ago, where, after an audience member had said their piece, expensively educated Dimbleby then asked them a follow-up question along the lines of 'as a disinterested observer of the NHS what is your view on blah-di-blah?'. The audience member then got all uptight saying 'I'm very interested in the NHS actually David' whilst DImbleby sat there bemused by the whole exchange.
