My New Build House Looks Different To The Design

Recommended Posts

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help.

I have just recently purchased a new build property and have now been told the external design will be different to the one I was shown. The house was supposed to have yellow brick with red cladding and now is just all red brick. We was told about no longer having yellow brick but nothing was said about the cladding. The house looks completely different. Is there anything I can do ? Could I look at legal action ?

Thanks

This is possibly a breach of contract, which may open up the possibility of either getting out of the purchase completely or renegotiating the price.

But you need to talk to a lawyer, if the changes are deemed minor then the legal costs/risk may make it not worthwhile.

My biggest question would by WHY has this changed, is it because they are trying/needing to save money on the project? is it because they lack the skills to apply cladding properly? is it because they have bad credit with the supplier of the yellow bricks?

Well you lot are a bunch of C**ts

If you had bothered reading these forums you would know what an idiot you are for wasting your money on an overpriced new-build. It's people like yourself with no-brains and too big a mortgage who keep inflating the bubble.

Remember: Caveat Emptor.

He clearly hasn't read the bit where it informs you that 60% of new builds get sold below the first sale price.

There was one great example in my search area CM23, 550k in 2004, 375 in 2008, 495k in 2014, now on the market for 535k. That is still not at original price 12 years later! And the market generally is probably 2007 + 20%.

Whahahahhaha
