"all Things Bright And Beautiful" Property Developer...

Recommended Posts

Oh dear, I think he got a bit too ambitious, and the outcome ended up being so costly, he even had to sell his "Aston Martin and Lamborghini sports cars to pay for court costs including his own legal fees estimated at in excess of £250,000."

"A property developer who “vandalised” the historic mansion which inspired the hymn All Things Bright and Beautiful has gone bust.

Kim Davies, 61, was declared bankrupt after a costly three-year legal battle with the Brecon Beacons National Park authority.

He was fined £60,000 after admitting planning offences last year and was ordered to pay the national park’s legal costs of £240,000.

The authority is now in negotiations with the Official Receiver to recover the money"......

Don't shed any crocodile tears just yet. We've known many a rich bankrupt on here over the years. Seems almost de rigeur. If you haven't done it, you haven't made it.

Indeed, I know what you mean. Going on the amount of celebe who go bankrupt, it seems it is getting to be more like a "badge of honour" rathere than something to be ashamed of.

I take the point with the grave stones but I find it bizarre that a home owner cannot develop their property to their own taste. I can understand the external appearance but not the internals. Bl**dy state interference if you ask me.
