200p
This is the capital of North Korea. One thing that is missing from a capital city, is the traffic jams.

DEATH
Spotlessly clean, open spaces and trees everywhere. No drug dealers or hookers on the corners. Parachute some bankers in to sort them out!
monks
Thanks for posting, really found that strangely compelling! Observations: (none that surprising to be honest!) Lack of colour inc advertising on buses, hoardings and shopfronts Lack of traffic at rush hour (9am on a Wednesday morning) - leading to - no road markings on 5-6 lane stretches of tarmac Everyone in very drab clothes
Executive Sadman
Basically looks like the UK if the green party were in charge. Everyone cycles (except the 'special' people). Everyone lives in identical flats. Everyone has identical clothes, and everyone is officially happy.

Everyone lives in identical flats. Everyone has identical clothes, and everyone is officially happy. I saw plenty of small vans and what looked like cheap cars. Not sure which video you were watching. Are the flats in UK cities not already all identical? Do people in the UK not wear identical clothes? Huge numbers of people in the UK on SSRI's so we must be officially happy too right?

thecrashingisles
Corrected that for you. It's a shame we couldn't afford to rebuild them properly after the war because we were busy creating the welfare state and the NHS. I'm sure the people of Coventry would much rather have the comfort of knowing they'll get that hip operation when their number comes up on the waiting list. winkie
There are lots of places with plenty of buildings but few people about....both in Europe, Ireland and USA.
stormymonday_2011
It looks strangely like what 1960s UK urban planners thought future cities would look like rather than the shite that actually ended up being created. Limpet
Liked the tree lined roads, and the lack of litter and graffiti. I expected to see a lot more bicycles and older cars, which seemed quite new to be honest. I felt a little sorry for the pedestrians on such long, seemingly endless, straight roads. A very interesting video though so thanks for that.

Turned Out Nice Again
A couple of different perspectives from the typical Western Media spin on N. md23040
Pyongyang is a bueatiful but intriguing city and for those interested the route taken is the inner ring road starting from the left and finishing at Juche Tower (Tower of Justice) - journey of about 9 miles in total.
