Islamification Of Africa

Recommended Posts

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/dec/12/gambia-now-an-islamic-republic-says-president-yahya-jammeh

The Gambia has been declared an Islamic republic by President Yahya Jammeh who said he wanted to further distance the west African state from its colonial past.
The tiny, formerly secular country – named after the river from which British ships are said to have fired cannonballs to fix its borders – joins the ranks of other officially Islamic republics such as Iran and Afghanistan.
“In line with the country’s religious identity and values I proclaim Gambia as an Islamic state,” said Jammeh on state television. “As Muslims are the majority in the country, Gambia cannot afford to continue the colonial legacy.”

And so it goes on...

to be fair, I did read that the population is 95% muslim. Can't really argue with this one...

well actually I think it is. we need examples of stupidly run countries to disprove those who thinks culture and society does not generate different outcomes. A shite country under a clerical rule gives me something to shock the SJWs who say welcome the world to the UK.

Has that argument ever worked for you? They'll just say that they haven't implemented 'true' islam, or they're held back by the legacy of colonialism, or they are impoverished by the world financial system or intellectual property rights...

Yes - but not with the SJWs, but the observers. Makes them realise what a mass of stupidity their *hugz* logic is. You have to debate the idiots to stop other people believing it is wrong to challenge them.

Exactly. Molyneux made that very argument...Have all the socialist/soviet failures ever served as a lesson to stop trying to push socialism? Of course not. They just try to get it across in a more devious and hidden way.

Yes, I've got to say I've used that very same argument re: socialism in the past. As an anarchist, I still find appealing aspects, but the track record of attempted implementation of self-declared communists is not great (particularly in regards to authoritarian aspects - you shouldn't have to force people to become a communist state).

More and more I find any economic and governing system to have deep flaws which somehow need to be managed to remove the nastier edges of them.

Interesting to note that it seems, like most 'muslim' countries, it appears to have got more muslim over time, either by higher breeding rates, or non-muslims leaving. Religious data hard to come by, but according to the world factbook, the Gambia was 85% Muslim in 1982, compared to 95% today, and in the census of the British empire 1901, only about 57% muslim.

Spain and Portugal were once pretty much run by Muslim regimes. Just saying..

Theres something, I dont know, noble, about being conquered through war though. The stronger, more resourceful tribe wins, takes the women of the conquered, and strengthens the gene pool. The Roman invasion argurably bettered us, and perhaps the moors in Iberia bettered them, temporarily, until Europeans were stronger and pushed back.

Being conquered because we're too bothered about being prosecuted for hate crimes, or because Islam simply outbreeds everything else, not because it supports itself, but by the welfare state, is such a modern and pathetic death of a civilization. Its like the surplus of our economic strength is killing us. I hear this Charles Martel would have spat on our 'hate crimes'

Islam does have quite an advantage over most other religions. Obviously, you can't leave in many countries or end up in a real prison. You are not allowed to be gay,so if you're not churning out mini Mohameds, with at least one wife, there'll be a knock at the door. I suggest the long term solution is two planets. Islam works on the vulnerabilities of the human condition, that's why the world's most unlikely tale is so long enduring.

I am aware that there is a small ex pat UK community who live out in the Gambia.

I used to frequent a message board of theirs and this was their biggest fear.

Isnt the Gambia like the female version of SE Asia, ie where wrinkly old white women get their cobwebs down below shifted for a few quid. I had always assumed it was a fairly easy going christian/secular nation.
