Who Said The Ftse Would Hit 10000 By Christmas?

I agree supermarkets struggling, miners struggling, oil struggling. Financials, pharma, other stores should do ok. Meanwhile UK consumer getting drunk on cheap oil, cheap credit and full employment, I would expect these factors to improve profitable on the home front if not the global stocks.

I imagine Next and Primark will do well this Christmas. But it is hard to see TSCO, MRW and SBRY doing well. Marks will probably do go in food.

I think there are lots of write-downs to come in the oil and base metal companies yet. Yesterday we saw the first US shale company have to downgrade the amount of oil in the ground that it claims to have - it is probably the first of many to have to do so as we head into 2016.
