Celebrity Death Sweepstake 2016

Recommended Posts

Back by popular demand*,the 2016 celebrity death season is almost upon us. On the plus side, BT have bought the TV rights for a staggering £4.73 and the new pundit team does NOT include Michael Owen, but that welcome news is overshadowed by ongoing accusations of corruption among the CDS organising committee and yet again Fubra have declined to offer up a prize of a fortnight in the Seychelles, or even Syria, to the winner.

Pick 3-

Senior - over 75

Middle aged - 50 to 75

Junior - under 50

Entries must be in before the stroke of midnight on new year's eve.

Each celebrity can only be chosen once.

Strictly no murdering.

*actually true. I wasn't going to bother this year.

Brave choice, Zsa Zsa. Someone picks her every year but she just seems to keep on and on and on and on

She's been dead for years. She's the victim of a taxidermist.

This is going to be the year:

Kirk Douglas

Michael Douglas

Miley Cyrus

This is going to be the year:

Miley Cyrus

The Douglases are a yearly thread entry aren't they?

It wouldn't be celebrity death sweepstake without Kirk making an early entry.

In previous years I've often picked celebs with the same surname, and like politicians voting for air-strikes, I see no reason to change this strategy that has never actually worked.

Jimmy Hill

Damon Hill

Faith Hill

Looking forward to blobby congratulating me if they end up in Boot Hill..

It's only just occurred to me how unoriginal the royals are with first names.

Aye - confusing isn't it?

At least their sister is more easily identified - apparently she's called princess...

Olivia de Havilland

Geert Wilders

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi

Olivia is a good one. I have often toyed about entering her. I leaning towards entering either Doris Day or Deborah Paget - well, entering in the spirit of the competition thing.

Has anyone actually reviewed the 2015 predictions to see who, if at all, scored correctly?

For 2016, I'll double down on last years bet:-

Stephen Hawking

cant think of any middle aged and younger aged suggestions just yet.
