There a loads of shootings (with deaths) in the US every single day of the year, what's so special about this one to deserve a thread here?

Just a random example:

Report: 82 shot, 14 fatally, over holiday weekend in Chicago

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/report-82-shot-14-killed-in-chicago-4th-of-july-weekend-shootings/

Why didn't this make the news over here?

That there was more than one person and all dressed in black made it look like it might be terrorism rather than the usual lone nut.

Maybe it is.

Riverside police dispatchers broadcast a general advisory that the suspects involved in the shootings in San Bernardino may have fled in a black GMC Yukon, heading northbound on Waterman Avenue.
The broadcast indicated there were unconfirmed reports the suspects were male and of Middle Eastern origin, “armed with AK-47s and wearing body armor.”
Riverside police officers said they were not responding to the city of San Bernardino. The broadcast was part of a region-wide alert issued by the San Bernardino Police Department.

Don't know, it's a mystery. ;)

+1

Your typical "lone nut" mass shooting is usually exactly that, multiple attackers is something different.

Quite amazing how news stories come out almost immediately stating they were white.

Up to 14 people dead. Up to a further 14 injured. Up to 3 gunmen.

Sky News just said it was in a centre for mentally disabled people and, in the same breath, said it was a room hired out for a party.

What point are you making? Why shouldn't there be a party held there?

I mean that it sounds like it is some kind of day centre / community centre and that it had been hired out for a party.

Don't be so touchy :)

Conflicting reports. One shooter or three shooters? White or Middle Eastern? Ski-masked or not?

Going by the mass media's baseless speculation, and 100% incorrect initial reports of the last dozen or so mass shootings, if they say it was white men, im going with flourescent green space aliens.

Odd target though. I figure maybe they lost their jobs.

Maybe its a drill? I don't know I'm not there. Have we seen anything other than pictures of what could be a drill?

All these incidents are the same. Pictures of people milling around not doing much. Watch the Iranian embassy siege shoot out and compare.

Flames, machine gun fire, explosions and shouting versus milling about with hands in pockets and wrapping people in tin foil.

First to spot number 33 gets a prize.

Ok, feel obliged to log on to say guy on german news is calling it as "right wing" terrorists, because there's no reason islamists would attack the disabled. I've been saying fora while, the German news has gon completely nuts.

I'm going to guess:

Disgruntled war veterans

Disgruntled employee or other personal

Islamists

Rightwing terrorists.

So we'll see who's crazier, me or the German news system
